An Angry President

Once again the President is making statements that are contradicted by the facts. His statement, “I’m confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress.”

The actual vote in the House was 220 to 207, and the Senate vote was 56 to 43. Is this a ‘strong majority’? I think not! It barely passed!

It utterly amazes me that the President for some reason continues to make statements that when compared to the facts are misleading, untrue and false. This was the hallmark of his run for office and his history as President. I have compiled a list of the President’s statements and promises that were untrue and/or never happened. Sadly, it is not a short list. I need not list them here.

I have noticed of late that the President seems to be rather angry at the lack of support and resistance he faces regarding his agenda. The Health Care issue before the Supreme Court being in the fore.  The attitude I detect is one of superiority and appears to hold those who oppose him as to dumb to see that his ideas are what are best for the rest of us.
He would be much happier if those in opposition would just shut up and accept that he knows what is best for us. He holds those in opposition in contempt.

Any President of the United States that behaves in the manner that President Obama has, is not worthy of the office.

The only president I ever got to see/hear close up was Dwight D. Eisenhower at the Washington D.C. Armory in 1954 when I was 15. My dad was a state ofiifcal with the American Legion and the President was there speaking before the Legion’s National Convention. Also heard Madame Chiang Kai-Shek speak too, wife of the Nationalist Chinese leader in Taiwan. It is always exciting to see the leader of our nation. Glad you got to be there, Kay.
