The idea that the Radicalization hearings are incomplete because there were supposedly no experts testifying is ludicrous.
Shame on Congresswoman Jackie Speier, D-Calif , for insulting the actual real life experience of those testifying. Someone who is actually living the experience or has gone through a some trial in life is certainly an expert. Real life is the best teacher. Knowledge of something through classroom instruction or merely reading a book does not an expert make.
Our society gives far to much weight to “education” than to real life experience. Give me a practitioner with 5-10 years experience rather than a college graduate any day. We had experts running the SEC, where did that get us? Rampant fraud and near financial collapse! We had experts running the Pentagon, where did that get us? Two unwinnable wars! We had experts running Fanny and Freddy, where did that get us? Thousands of foreclosures and the worst financial decline in recent history! We had experts running TARP, where did that get us? Trillions in debt and no recovery! We had experts running the oil rig in the gulf, where did that get us? Worst oil spill in history! We have experts running our government, where did that get us, today? We had experts running Iraq, where did that get us? IED’s and more than 30,000 casualties and counting! We have experts running our foreign and trade policies, where did that get us? The hatred and scorn of other countries, a large trade deficit and millions of lost jobs! Give me someone with experience and most of all a good dose of common sense. Recent Graduates from Ivy League schools need not apply!
Shame on those who voted for her, Shame on the democrats for putting her on the committee. Shame on them all! Mr. King is to be applauded for the courage to tackle this problem head on. The Democrats need a reality check. They are living in their own dream world! Obviously “9/11” or “Fort Hood” left no impression at all! God help us!
